Terms of use

Short version: everything here is free to read, none of it is a quote, and no page on this site will ever ask you for money or card details. The rest of this page fills in the edges of those three sentences.

What these guides are not

They are not a quote, an inspection or a specification. Prices quoted anywhere on this site are read from third-party pages on a stated date and describe an order of magnitude, not your job. A wrap or a respray is priced after somebody has looked at the paint on your actual car, and no figure published here replaces that.

They are also not legal advice about what is permitted where you drive. Window tint limits, lighting rules and inspection requirements vary by state and change; where a page mentions them it says so in general terms, and the authority is your local regulator rather than us.

Accuracy and changes

The site is provided as it is, without warranty. Figures carry the date they were checked precisely because they go out of date, and pages may be updated or withdrawn. RenderCar is not liable for losses arising from decisions made on the basis of a guide — the section above explains why that limit is a real one rather than boilerplate.

Third-party products are named where naming them is useful, including their weaknesses. No relationship, sponsorship or affiliation is implied, and nothing here is affiliated with or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer.

Using what you read here

Quote it, link it, send it to your installer. What we ask is that quotations keep the date attached to any figure, since a price without its date is the exact failure this site exists to avoid. Republishing whole pages as your own is a different matter and is not permitted.
